What better way to spend a couple of days than a short tour up to Loch Ness and the beautiful west coast?
This tour will leave our HQ on Tuesday morning, spend the night in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands before returning to Edinburgh on Wednesday evening.
Day 1 - Leaving Edinburgh we head straight to Stirling to hear the tales surround William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. After we wind our way into the Highlands with a stop to tak e in the dramatic atmosphere of Glencoe. Passing Fort William with Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, we meander along the Great Glen, coming to Loch Ness where there will be time for some monster spotting! Our next stop will be at Rogie Falls, a change for a short walk through the forest and perhaps spot a salmon leaping up the waterfalls. Our home for the night is the Aultguish Inn, set in the maginficent Highland scenery, it's the perfect place to stay!
Day 2 - This morning we begin to make our way South. There will be another chance to spot Nessie before we continue up to tragic Culloden Battlefield to hear of Bonnie Prince Charlie's last stand. This afternoon will be spent visiting Clava Cairns (ancient burial site), Falls of Bruar and Pitlochry as we make our way back to Edinburgh – happy honorary Scots!
